The theme for the week was songs by Dato' Siti Nurhaliza and Amy Search. The twists were, Dato' Ct's songs will be sung by the boys and Amy's songs will be sung by the girls. Hafiz got this song by Dato' CT called "Cinta Ini". The song has an arabic feel to it... some even called it a raya song!
But Hafiz made it his own when he gave this great performance. Big applause from the audience for his superb rendition!!!

This article was actually written during Hafiz's first return home as Af7 Champion on 24th May 2009. The magazine however was only out recently. Although it's long overdue.... like his alma mater, we still and always feel proud of him.....and the article says it all!
Back to reality : Akademi Fantasia
SOME would yawn and scorn, while others would applaud the longevity of Akademi Fantasia (AF) on Astro Ria. But yes, AF has been our staple source of entertainment throughout its seven seasons with the drama, tears and laughter as well as the just-above-par singing ability.Of all the seasons, the latest season seven was the most revolutionised, suiting the promotional catch phrase of the season, 'Bring Out Your Self-Transformation'. Datin Seri Tiara Jacquelina was revealed as the principal for the season, marking the first time ever a woman was given that responsibility in AF's illustrious history.
There were also changes in the line-up of the season's professional trainers. Linda Jasmine, who had been the choreographer of AF since the first season was replaced by A. Aris Kadir, Ida Nerina served as the students' acting and drama coach, replacing Fauziah Nawi and Hashridz Murshim was in charge of the music composition which was previously held by Ramli M.S.
In the end, the winner of the season was19-year-old Mohd Hafiz Mohd Suip from Kuching, Sarawak, which was not at all shocking. Did all the modifications and alterations to the formula change anything? Perhaps, but simply cosmetic, to say the least.
All we can say is that, even with all those changes and hype, AF, no matter what season, will have the same gag over and over again. But love it or hate it, people will still cast their votes.
