It's the 16th of May again. How times fly when you're having so much fun! Yes.. it's Hafiz's 1st Anniversary as the Champion of Akademi Fantasia 7. Seems like yesterday that we were so captivated and enchanted by this adorable and wonderful afro-haired boy from Kuching, Sarawak. With his humble and down to earth personality. Possessing a powerful and soothing vocals doesn't hurt either!
Hafiz never failed to deliver his best! He never failed us with his mind blowing performances week after week of AF. We cried when he cried, we laughed when he laughed. So many tensions, stress, joy and happiness that he experienced during his days in the academy. He was given not-so-popular songs and made it his own with astonishing results. Outside we have our ups and downs too...but despite that, we voted like mad just to keep him afloat and making sure that he'll be the ultimate champion of the competition.

And on the night of the final concert, he again wowed us with two winning performances of Anuar Zain's "Kau Bunga Cintaku" (which sees him dancing sharply to the catchy tunes) and an original beautiful composition by Aidit Alfian and Ad Samad, the now so famous "Masih Jelas".
And the announcement that changed his life forever!
Now a year has passed and he made us even more prouder by being nominated in prestigious awards like the Anugerah Juara Lagu 24, Anugerah Bintang Popular 2009 and Anugerah Industri Muzik. Not forgetting having two hugely popular hit songs that made raves on music charts all over the nation, i.e "Masih Jelas" and "Noktah Cinta". Although he didn't grab any of the awards he was nominated with, the most important thing is he has done his best in each and everything he does.
So here we would like to wish our beloved Superboy all the best in his future undertakings. You're still young and still has a long journey to go. There will be failures nevertheless but that will be a lesson learned. Be strong and have faith in all you do, Hafiz. Your 3Fs, namely Family, Friends and Fans will always be there for you. To cheer you up when you're down.... to support you whenever you fail.... to guide you whenever you feel lost.......
